Last year, we had Brave, Rise of the Guardians, Lorax, Wreck it Ralph, Paranorman, Frankenweenie, Madagascar 3, Ice Age 4, Hotel Transylvania and many more. What this year has in store for us? Despicable Me 2 is an upcoming 3D animated comedy film and the sequel to the 2010’s Despicable Me. The film is directed by  Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud and distributed by Universal Pictures. It is set to release on 03 July, 2013. Cast is Steve Carell as Gru, Russell Brand as Dr. Nefario, Miranda Cosgrove as Margo and Al Pacino as Gru’s nemesis.

Directed by Raja Gosnell and produced by Jordan Kerner, The Smurfs 2 is an upcoming 2013  3D animated comedy film and a sequel to the 2011’s The Smurfs. It is set for release on 31st July, 2013 and distributed by Columbia Pictures. Cast includes Hank Azaria, Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofía Vergara, Brendan Gleeson , Nancy O’Dell, Katy Perry and Christina Ricci. It is expected to be better than The Smurfs 1.

Frozen is an upcoming 3D animated musical-comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. Chris Buck and  Jennifer Lee are the directors of this movie. It is set for release on November 27, 2013. The film is based on Fairy Tale The Snow Queen. Cast includes Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad.

The Croods is a 2013  3D animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is set for release on March 22, 2013. Directors are Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders. It features the voices of  Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, Chris Sanders and Cloris Leachman. The film revolves around the world’s first family as they embark on a journey of  a lifetime.

Set for release on July 19, 2013, Turbo is an upcoming 3D animated film directed by David Soren and produced by DreamWorks Animation. It is distributed by 20th Century Fox. Main cast includes Ryan Reynolds,  Paul Giamatti, Michael Peña, Michelle Rodriguez, Luis Guzman, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Maya Rudolph, Snoop Dogg and Samuel L. Jackson. Plot revolves around an ordinary snail whose dream to become the world’s fastest snail comes true.

A sequel to 2009’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, it is directed by Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn. It is scheduled to be released on September 27, 2013. The movie features the voices of Bill Hader as Flint Lockwood, Anna Faris as Sam Sparks, James Caan as Tim Lockwood, Andy Samberg as Brent McHale, Neil Patrick Harris as Steve, and Benjamin Bratt as Manny.

Eric is an upcoming 2013 3D animated fantasy-adventure drama film produced by Blue Sky Studios, and directed by Chris Wedge. It is based on William Joyce’s children book “The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs”. Scheduled for release on May 24, 2013, it will be distributed by 20th Century Fox. The film features the voices of Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz,  Josh Hutcherson,  Steven Tyler, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis,  Colin Farrell, Blake Anderson and Beyoncé Knowles. Story is about a teenage girl who finds herself in a secret world where she helps a team of young warriors to save their world. Epic is the most anticipated animated movie of 2013.
